Elana Paddock, RDN, LD, CDCES, CHWC

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

Elana is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist, Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist and Certified Health and Wellness Coach with nearly 30 years of experience helping individuals improve their health through sustainable lifestyle changes. Since joining Cooper Clinic in 2007, she has partnered with patients to develop realistic, personalized nutrition and wellness strategies to enhance their health, confidence and quality of life.

Elana earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from The University of Texas at Austin. Prior to joining Cooper Clinic, she spent a decade at Parkland Health and Hospital System in Dallas and John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, specializing in diabetes care. She became a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist in 2003 and expanded her expertise by earning her Health and Wellness Coach certification in 2013.

While diabetes prevention and management remain her primary areas of expertise, Elana also specializes in cardiovascular health, weight management and behavior change. As a provider of the Cooper Weight Loss program, she helps patients build healthy habits that support long-term success.

Elana is an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists and Wellcoaches School of Coaching. Outside the Clinic, Elana enjoys power walking on Cooper’s outdoor track, strength training, riding her Peloton® and experimenting with healthy recipes. Elana believes it is never too late to improve your health. She often shares one of Dr. Kenneth H. Cooper’s favorite reminders with patients: “Age fast, age slow, it’s up to you.”
