Stopping the pandemic is contingent upon timely vaccination around the world. As efforts continue to develop, distribute and administer approved vaccines, it is important to continue following safety measures.
Testing
Cooper Clinic provides several COVID-19 testing options for patients experiencing coronavirus-like symptoms as well as those without symptoms who have a specific need for testing such as for travel or return to school or work.
If you are experiencing signs or symptoms of COVID-19, our Cooper Clinic physicians and team are available to assist you with determining the best test for you.
1. Sofia SARS Antigen FIA – for individuals who may have been exposed or have symptoms of COVID-19
4. ARCHITECT SARS-CoV-2 IgG Antibody – for individuals who suspect they have had the COVID-19 virus and are interested in knowing if they have antibodies

1. Sofia SARS Antigen FIA – for individuals who may have been exposed or have symptoms of COVID-19
- Detects the protein antigen of the COVID-19 virus
- Collection Method: Nasal swab
- Results: 24-48 hours
- Detects the genetic information, or RNA, of the COVID-19 virus only
- Collection Method: Nasal or nasopharyngeal swab
- Results: 24-48 hours
- Checks for 21 respiratory pathogens including COVID-19 using RNA detection
- Collection Method: Nasopharyngeal swab
- Results: 24-48 hours
4. ARCHITECT SARS-CoV-2 IgG Antibody – for individuals who suspect they have had the COVID-19 virus and are interested in knowing if they have antibodies
- Checks for immunity to COVID-19
- Collection Method: Blood
- Results: 24-48 hours
Treatment
Most COVID-19 cases are associated with mild or no symptoms and do not require any medical intervention. For those patients with moderate symptoms or risk factors for moderate to severe disease, some medical treatments may be appropriate in the outpatient setting. Patients who are very high risk or severely ill are referred to their local hospital system for inpatient care.
Outpatient management of COVID-19 is done on an individualized basis. We take into account multiple factors including age and conditions that may put a patient at higher risk for complication before creating an individualized treatment plan.
