F. Ryan Harris, MD

Dr. Ryan Harris is a 24/7 Platinum physician and preventive medicine physician at Cooper Clinic. He joined Cooper Clinic in 2022 and was added to the Platinum team in 2025.

A Dallas native, Dr. Harris graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Princeton University and earned a certificate in Biomedical Sciences from The University of Texas at Dallas. He completed his Doctor of Medicine degree at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, where he received the Outstanding Family Medicine Graduate Award and published 10 research articles. He went on to complete a family medicine residency at Saint Joseph Health System in Indiana, where he received a Global Health Certificate. Dr. Harris is a diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine and licensed by the Texas Board of Medical Examiners.

Prior to joining Cooper Clinic, Dr. Harris practiced primary and urgent care, ran an aesthetic practice and precepted nurse practitioner students as an Associate Faculty at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. Dr. Harris has participated in many volunteer activities including providing health services at refugee camps in Athens, Greece, and serving as a ringside physician at amateur boxing events. He is fluent in English and Spanish and has served as an interpreter at the Monday Clinic in Dallas.

In his free time, Dr. Harris enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, listening to music, exercising and watching mixed martial arts.
