Preventive Medicine Physician Dr. Riva Rahl Joins Platinum Practice

DALLAS (June 16, 2020) – Cooper Clinic Platinum, the concierge medical practice at Cooper Clinic in Dallas, is expanding its physician team with the addition of preventive medicine physician Riva Rahl, MD. Dr. Rahl joins the Cooper Clinic Platinum team to provide Platinum members 24/7 access and comprehensive care, priority appointments for primary and acute care, personalized referrals to specialists, priority hospitalization admission at leading area hospitals, in addition to other benefits. The Platinum practice was launched in 2010, with Michael Chapman, MD and includes Emily Hebert, MD, and Medical Director Christopher D. Abel, MD.

Dr. Rahl graduated with a double Bachelor of Arts from Rice University and earned her medical degree from the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine. While completing her internal medicine internship and residency, along with a residency in emergency medicine, at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, she served as chief medical resident. Dr. Rahl is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Riva Rahl is also an author of the book Physical Activity and Health Guidelines (Human Kinetics, 2010). Dr. Rahl is a distance runner and won several marathons, include the Dallas White Rock Marathon (2000) and the Cowtown Marathon (2000, 2002 and 2008). In 2019, she was inducted into the Rice Athletics Hall of Fame. Dr. Rahl was selected for the Texas Medical Association Leadership College and is active on the Board of Directors for The Dallas Marathon and the Membership Committee of the Dallas County Medical Society, having recently served on the Children’s Chorus of Greater Dallas Board of Directors.
