DALLAS – March 11, 2014Priscilla Hagstrom has been appointed vice president marketing and communications for Cooper Aerobics overseeing strategic marketing for its seven business entities and one non-profit. She will play a key role in developing integrated marketing and communications objectives, strategies and tactics to reach organizational goals and objectives.

A seasoned executive and Dallas native, Hagstrom joins Cooper Aerobics from the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau where she served as vice president, communications and was instrumental in the research, launch and execution of the “Big Things Happen Here!” brand campaign earning more than a dozen marketing and communications awards.

Hagstrom’s 26 years of strategic marketing and communications experience includes 12 years with Hyatt Hotels Corporation as director of marketing/PR in Dallas and DFW. While at Hyatt she earned eight industry awards including an IABC Bronze Quill Award. Her career also includes work at the Dallas Zoo, Sprint, KPMG, MPI, Leukemia Society of America, Cotton Bowl Athletic Association and WFAA-TV, Channel 8. She began her career as a special events intern for the Dallas CVB.

Actively involved in the business and civic community, Hagstrom most recently served as PR/Marketing Chair of the Dallas host committee for the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and PR/Marketing Chair of the Dallas host committee for the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA). Currently, she serves as a scholarship panelist for Lake Highlands Soccer League, an adult recognition specialist and troop leader for Girl Scouts of the USA and a DFW Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA). She is a member of the Dallas Press Club, IABC, Girl Scouts of North East Texas and Park Cities Presbyterian Church.

Hagstrom earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Composition/Radio TV Film from the University of North Texas. She and her husband with their two daughters make their home in North Dallas.
