Rhett Mullis Named Cooper Aerobics IT Vice President

DALLAS – April 7, 2014 – Rhett Mullis has been appointed Vice President of Information Technology for Cooper Aerobics and The Cooper Institute 501(c)(3) nonprofit, leading the IT organization. In this newly-created position Mullis will be responsible for managing Information Systems and providing visionary leadership in support of the mission of the Cooper organization at large.

Prior to joining Cooper, Mullis spent 16 years at L-3 Communications responsible for providing IT services to 6,000 employees worldwide. Most recently he served as IT Infrastructure Manager in the Vertex division for three years responsible for a $3.5M budget.

Mullis also served as an Information Assurance Manager for three years during which time he managed accreditation packages, drafted systems security plans and created computer security user briefings and trainings. In addition, as a Senior Computer Systems Technologist, he was responsible for Windows Active Directory implementation for locations worldwide as well as site to site remote client VPN solutions. Mullis began his IT career as a software programmer for L-3 in 1997.

Mullis holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Vocational Ministry from Oklahoma Christian University and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional.
