Group Exercise Classes

With more than 100 exercise classes per week—including indoor cycling, yoga, mat Pilates, barre, boot camp, cardio dance and more—you are sure to find at least one that fits your needs. Mix up your workout routine. Challenge yourself. Have fun.

STUDIO OCCUPANCY
Effective May 3, 2021, our group exercise studio capacities (including the instructor) increase to:

  • Aerobics Studio – 20
  • Mind Body Studio – 12
  • Cycle Studio – 20
  • Private Pilates Studio – 6
  • CFC Pool (water classes) – 30

CLASS REGISTRATION
To attend a group exercise class, registration is required. There are two ways to register:

  1. Member App (available for download on Apple App Store and Google Play)
  2. Online Member Portal

You may register up to 72 hours prior to the class start time; registration closes 15 minutes prior to the class beginning. If a class is full, you may join our wait list, and if a spot opens up for you to participate, you will be notified via text message.

HEART RATE TRAINING
Tone in the zone with Myzone® heart rate technology available in the Aerobics and Cycle Studios. Receive maximum cardiovascular benefit from your exercise by training in the appropriate heart rate zones and view your calories and effort real-time with Myzone. Myzone heart rate monitors are available for purchase at The Coop.


Classics 55+ Classes

We can't escape getting older, but we can age gracefully and healthfully by staying active. Our Classics group exercise classes, designed for ages 55+, include individualized attention and constant instructor interaction. All classes are held in the Aerobics Studio; capacity: 20 max.

  • Mondays, 7:15 a.m. - Classics Pilates Mat with Jill Samaniego
  • Tuesdays, 7:00 a.m. - Classics Body Sculpt with Mary Ellen Elkhay
  • Wednesdays, 7:15 a.m. - Classics Pilates Mat with Jill Samaniego
  • Thursdays, 7:00 a.m. - Classics Body Sculpt with Mary Ellen Elkhay
  • Fridays, 7:15 a.m. - Classics Pilates Mat with Marilyn Levitt

Based on your requests, we have created a schedule of safe, outdoor classes:

Mondays

  • Greatest HIITs with Marianna | 9-9:45 a.m.

Wednesdays

  • Reps & Sets Boot Camp with Dresha | 5:30-6:10 p.m. (beginning April 21)

Thursdays

  • Bodyweight Blast with Amanda | 7-7:30 a.m.
  • Core & Recovery with Kameron | 5:30-6 p.m.

Fridays

  • Sunrise Power Yoga with Lisa | 7:15-7:45 a.m. (beginning April 23)

Saturdays

  • Core & Recovery with Kameron | 9-9:30 a.m.


Location: All classes take place on the South Lawn

What to bring: Your own mat and mask

Please wear a mask until class starts and immediately when class ends. Should a class be canceled due to inclement weather, participants who are pre-registered will be notified via text and/or email (based on the communication preferences you’ve set in your member account). Must be 13 years or older to participate.

OUTDOOR CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

NEW! Bodyweight Blast: Energize your body using your own weight against gravity. This high energy outdoor class combines interval training with cardiovascular conditioning for a full-body workout. Let’s get strong and fit!

Core & Recovery: Hard core. This class incorporates core strengthening exercises targeting your abdominals, obliques and lower back followed by recovery-focused stretching to restore and repair muscles to avoid injury or overuse.

Greatest HIITs: HIIT it! Start the week with various high-intensity moves in this interval format using bodyweight, medicine balls and kettlebells.

Reps & Sets Boot Camp: Take on the challenge to become stronger and more fit. This high-energy, full-body workout improves dynamic flexibility, core stability, muscular strength/endurance and cardiovascular conditioning.

Sunrise Power Yoga: Let it go! Relieve stress through a continuous flow of yoga poses with active stretching added in. You work your back, abs, glutes, legs and arms—burning calories to sculpt your entire body.
