Make a splash year-round with Cooper. For more than 30 years, Cooper Fitness Center has taught children the lifelong and lifesaving sport of swimming. Our goal is to make strong and secure swimmers by teaching swim skills and water safety.

Private and semi-private lessons are taught in a positive and nurturing environment. Lessons focus on helping each swimmer:

  • Develop stroke mechanics and efficiency
  • Learn proper breathing mechanics
  • Build stamina and confidence in the water
  • Overcome fear of the water

Children & Teen Swimming Lessons

For children of all ages, infants (6 months) to teens, we offer the following swim lesson instruction:

  • Private and semi-private lessons
  • Triathlon swim training
  • Swim team preparation training

Cooper Swim Academy is built on the core structure of consistency, class size, class time and repetition. Read more about how our lessons are structured.

For beginner to intermediate swimmers, 30-minute private lessons are recommended. For intermediate to advanced swimmers, 60-minute lessons are ideal.

Private Lessons

  • 30-minute lesson, $65
  • 60-minute lesson, $110

Semi-Private Lessons
2-4 children within the same family; Year-round

  • 30-minute lesson, $45/swimmer
  • 60-minute lesson, $75/swimmer

Youth Competitive Swim Training

Cooper Swim Camp
June 5-August 11
Ages 6-15

Cooper Swim Camp teaches the necessary skills and strategies for competitive swimming. The emphasis is on self-improvement rather than tough competition. Practices focus on all competitive strokes, techniques, skill work and conditioning. Cooper Swim Camp is also an excellent opportunity for swimmers to prepare or stay conditioned for their school swim season.

Must be able to swim any stroke 50 yards unassisted.

One-week sessions, Monday-Friday | 4:30-5:30 p.m.

  • Week 1: June 5-9
  • Week 2: June 12-16
  • Week 3: June 19-23
  • Week 4: June 26-30
  • Week 5: no camp
  • Week 6: July 10-14
  • Week 7: July 17-21
  • Week 8: July 24-28
  • Week 9: July 31-August 4
  • Week 10: August 7-11

Cost: $200/week

Polar Bears Swim Training
Begins December 2023
Ages 6-15

Swim like a polar bear by swim season with Cooper Fitness Center’s Polar Bears competition-oriented swim sessions. Your child practices swim strokes and conditioning exercises in our one-hour sessions.

Must be able to swim 50 yards continuously. Limited to 8 participants per class.

Unlike the Arctic, the water is always warm at Cooper.
