Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
For more than 29 years, Patty Kirk has worked at Cooper Clinic as a Registered and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist specializing in weight management and cardiovascular nutrition and wellness. She received a Certificate of Training by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in Childhood and Adolescent Weight Management and was instrumental in developing the Cooper Healthy Habits for Kids nutrition education program, working one-on-one with children and their parents. She has devoted her career to helping children and adults make positive changes in their nutritional habits that will have a lifelong impact on their health.
In addition to consulting individuals, Patty enjoys motivating audiences by speaking to corporations, organizations and schools. She has also co-authored two cookbooks, What's Cooking at the Cooper Clinic and More of What's Cooking at the Cooper Clinic.
Patty received a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Institutional Management from Kansas State University and completed her internship at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. Prior to joining Cooper Clinic, she worked in private practice and was on staff at Parkland hospital in Dallas. She was also on the teaching faculty at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Dallas. Patty is a member of the American Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, participating in the Weight Loss Management and Women’s Health specialty groups.
Patty and her husband, Rich, have raised two daughters and have five granddaughters. They enjoy traveling and also seeing their granddaughters participate in their many activities.
