Teens (ages 13-19)

Being a teenager can present many challenges to staying healthy. Changing bodies, peer pressure, school and extra-curricular activities can all impact developing and maintaining healthy eating habits for teenagers.

Our skilled Registered Dietitian Nutritionists can work with your teenager on topics such as:

  • Achieving and maintaining a healthy weight
  • Body image
  • Food and beverage choices at school and on-the-go
  • Staying physically active
  • Managing peer pressure and developing a healthy relationship with food
  • Sports and performance nutrition

College-Bound Young Adults (ages 17-20)

Leaving home for the first time to attend college has a big impact on healthy habits. Whether it’s dorm food, study snacking or the late-night pizza feast, learning how to transition from eating meals at home to making choices for yourself every day can prepare you for staying healthy at college. Topics may include: 

  • Achieving and maintaining a healthy weight
  • Avoiding the “Freshman Fifteen” weight gain
  • Eating healthy in the dorm and away from home
  • Choosing better beverages
  • Mini-fridge set-up
  • Staying physically active
  • Fueling the brain for academic success

Kids (ages 5-12)

Creating a positive food environment for your kids is one of the best gifts you can give them–healthy habits for a lifetime! Weight issues are sensitively addressed by emphasizing healthy approaches to eating and staying active.

Our skilled Registered Dietitian Nutritionists can address topics of interest to your kids and/or family such as:

  • Achieving and maintaining a healthy weight
  • Staying physically active
  • Picky eaters
  • Eating at school and on-the-go
  • Meal ideas and portion management
  • Healthy habits for the whole family

Nutrition for Life Kids/Teens Package

  • Six-session program emphasizing healthy habits for a lifetime.
  • 30-minute pre-consult conversation with parents (optional for ages 17-20)
  • One-hour initial consultation with an experienced Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and child/teen (this can include parents, too)
  • Personalized action plan
  • Five follow-up sessions, 30 minutes each

Research shows additional follow-up helps with more successful healthy habit formation and behavior change.

Individual Nutrition Consultation

  • 30-minute pre-consult conversation with parents (optional if 17+)
  • One-hour consultation with an experienced Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
  • Personalized action plan

Nutrition Follow-up Package  

  • Five follow-up sessions, 30 minutes each
