Dr. Michele Kettles is vice president and medical director of Cooper Clinic in Dallas. She is also a staff physician and specializes in preventive medicine. She received a B.A. in English from Washington and Jefferson College and a medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1990. She completed her internal medicine internship at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md. Dr. Kettles completed her residency and earned a M.S.P.H. degree from the University of Kentucky.
She is certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine. Her military experience includes serving as the Medical Department Head in the U.S. Navy on the USS Canopus in King's Bay, Ga., and serving as the director of clinical services at the Branch Medical Clinic at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Fla. Dr. Kettles co-authored Women's Health and Fitness Guide, published in 2006, and she has a special medical interest in osteoporosis.
