DALLAS — Kenneth H. Cooper, M.D., founder and chairman of The Cooper Aerobics Center, announced this afternoon that a Cooper Aerobics Center and spa facility will be built in McKinney adjacent to the Tournament Players Club at Craig Ranch golf course. The new business will be the first fully-owned and operated Cooper Aerobics Center outside of the original on Preston Road in north Dallas.
"The continuing growth of McKinney makes it an ideal location for another Cooper Aerobics Center," said Dr. Cooper. "We are also excited to have the TPC golf course and the new residential community at Craig Ranch as our neighbors."
The Cooper Aerobics Center at Craig Ranch, located on Collin McKinney Parkway west of Alma Road, will be approximately a 70,000-square-foot wellness center furnished with state-of-the-art equipment, a full-service day spa, indoor jogging track, strength-training area, indoor basketball court, outdoor swimming pool, and an outdoor track. Member services will include educational seminars on fitness, nutrition and wellness topics, personal fitness assessments, group exercise classes and customized programs for youth and other specific groups.
This announcement marks the end of an 18-month process of investigating and evaluating potential locations.
