Best Waldorf Salad


Ingredients:

  • 3 large Red Delicious or Granny Smith apples
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice (about half a lemon)
  • 1 1/2 cups seedless grape halves
  • 1 cup finely diced celery
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped toasted walnuts or pecans
  • 1/4 cup nonfat salad dressing (Miracle Whip) or reduced-calorie mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup nonfat buttermilk
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 ounce blue cheese

Directions:

  1. Peel apples; dice.
  2. Toss with lemon juice in a large bowl.
  3. Add grapes, celery, raisins, and walnuts.
  4. Combine salad dressing and remaining ingredients; stir into apple mixture.
  5. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour.
