Healthy & Tasty Croutons
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cut several slices of your favorite
good quality, high-fiber bread into crouton sized cubes. (We
are partial to multi-grains, and dense, seeded refrigerator-type
breads.) Mist with olive oil based non-stick cooking spray.
Sprinkle with your favorite seasoning herb or garlic blend.
Put croutons on non-stick baking sheet and bake for 12 minutes.
Remove from oven and allow to completely cool before adding
to salad or soup. As croutons cool, they will become "crispy".
Leftover croutons can be stored in an air-tight container.
