Binge Eating Disorder Treatment Group Program |
|
Binge eating disorder and subclinical forms of the disorder are often described as compulsive overeating, emotional eating, and food addiction. This problem may undermine weight loss efforts and cause significant emotional distress. Many times, the first step to effective weight loss and sustained success requires treating the disorder first.
The Binge Eating Disorder Group is a structured science-based cognitive-behavioral program. Led by Dr. Jay Ashmore, clinical psychologist, and Michelle Bishop, M.Ed., L.P.C., the program focuses on identifying and addressing maladaptive eating behavior. Phases of treatment include eating regulation, mood and body image management, and ongoing support as needed.
The program includes 16 group sessions.
Program fee: $60 per 1-hour group session purchased in blocks of four ($240)
Ongoing individual or group-based support is available following the structured intervention as needed for an additional fee.
