Fillers

Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers restore fullness to the face and hands. The injectable fillers fall into two basic categories of applications— 1) those that superficially smooth wrinkles, sculpt lips, and shape facial contours; and 2) cosmetic fillers used to lift and volumize skin around the temples, thinning cheeks, and backs of hands.

Restylane®, Juvéderm®, and Perlane® are primary examples of fillers used more superficially to treat the frown lines between the eyebrows and smile lines around the mouth, including down-turning of the corners of the mouth. The FDA-approved clear transparent gels are composed of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found throughout the body. This gel is not of animal or human origin, so there is no risk of allergic reaction. With their unique ability to bind with water, Restylane®, Juvéderm®, and Perlane® remain supportive and corrective in the skin for many months.

Collagen Stimulators

Sculptra® Aesthetic is the most exciting advance in cosmetic fillers in many years. It provides youthful contouring and beautiful volume replacement where significant facial thinning has taken place due to age-related volume loss. It actually lifts as it volumizes and reduces the hollowing that leads to folds around the mouth and chin plus jowl formation. While its
positive cosmetic benefits may take a while to be visible, the correction achieved tends to last much longer than other fillers, often two to four years. Sculptra® has a long international use history and is a synthetic filler with no allergic tendencies. Drs. Kingston and Wilson have six years cumulative experience with Sculptra® Aesthetic.

Radiesse® dermal filler stimulates your body to produce new collagen to restore fullness and smooth out the signs of aging. It is FDA-approved for the correction of moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles around the nose and mouth.
