Tyler C. Cooper, M.D., M.P.H.

Tyler Cooper, M.D., M.P.H., is a physician at Cooper Clinic in Dallas, president of CooperLife—a heath and wellness residential community under development at Craig Ranch in McKinney—and co-author of Start Strong, Finish Strong (Avery, 2007) with his father, Dr. Kenneth Cooper. He is also minority owner-operator of Cooper Aerobics Center and sits on the Cooper Complete nutritional supplements board of directors.

He received his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio and a master of public health degree from Harvard School of Public Health. Prior to joining Cooper Clinic, Dr. Cooper was a preventive medicine resident at the University of South Carolina and a family practice resident at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Va. His areas of special medical interest include general preventive medicine, lifestyle modifications, and health care management involving governmental and social policy.

Joining Cooper Clinic as a physician in 2006 actually marks a return to Cooper Aerobics Center for Dr. Cooper. After graduating with a bachelor of business administration from Baylor University, Dr. Cooper worked in business development for the company for several years before deciding to follow his father's footsteps and enter medical school. He is responsible for starting the company's corporate services divisions Cooper Benefits and Cooper Ventures that provide employee benefits advice and corporate wellness program design, in addition to managing and staffing health and fitness facilities around the country.
