Joseph Cleaver, M.D.

Dr. Cleaver is a staff physician and a specialist in preventive medicine. He is also medical director of clinical trials at The Cooper Institute. He earned a B.S. in biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison, New Jersey and received his medical degree from the University of Rome, School of Medicine and Surgery, in 1985. He completed his residency at Jersey Shore Medical Center, a major affiliate of Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 1988 and a fellowship in rheumatology at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital in 1990. He is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology. His medical interests include internal medicine, men's health, nutrition, prevention of arthritis, and lecturing on prevention and nutrition. He is also interested in insurance medicine and is a medical director for a major insurance company.
